Retrospective 4-2003: High Country

In world terms, Australia is not actually a high country at all, with the highest peak measuring just 2228m (7310ft). But that does not stop me from wanting to reach the top. In the state of Victoria, all the highest peaks are in the appropriately named Victorian High Country or Victorian Alps, a part of the Great Dividing Range, and Mount Buller is right up there at 1805m (5922ft).

But you know, any mountain you can drive up and stroll to the summit is not quite an achievement, so I still have more of that sort of adventure in mind.
