Edwards Point Nature Conservation Reserve, near St.Leonards, Victoria Australia, protects the last remaining stand of coastal woodland on the Bellarine Peninsula. My walk was a 6km round trip through the woodland, past salt flats, to get a view of Swan Bay and then back along the beach. The Parks Victoria brochure says 3 hours , I had 1 hour, could I show it justice in this time?
My lasting impression was not of the woodland, but the grasses that fringed the salt flats, they were magnificent.
