I took this image at an historic race meeting at Winton Raceway in Victoria, Australia. It is particularly poignant today for two reasons.
First, Ford Australia have ceased production in Australia this week; it started in my current home town of Geelong in 1925.
Second, the Bathurst 1000 is being raced today. The iconic motor race around Mount Panorama in Bathurst, NSW sees the traditional rivalry of Ford and Holden V8s (along with a few interlopers like Volvo and Nissan) duke it out in the 8 hour race of 1000 Kilometres.
