Mighty Murray

Quickly leaving my home state of Victoria, (well, 4 hours drive, but the term is relative to the whole journey) we cross the mighty Murray River, Australia’s longest. The state border with New South Wales follows the south bank of the river, so technically it is not a Victorian river at all.

The flow here is relatively high, but at times and places along the Murray, it can dry to a trickle.
